Performance
Rope, inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s celebrated masterpiece, is an intense psychological thriller that brings to the stage the fine line between genius and madness, between control and the loss of self. Two young men, convinced they have committed the perfect murder, host an elegant dinner party while the victim’s body is hidden in the same room, turning the gathering into a perverse game of tension and provocation.
As the evening unfolds, what seemed flawless begins to crack: ambiguous dialogue, silences heavy with meaning and the growing weight of guilt lay bare the protagonists’ fragilities. The presence of the guests — unaware yet increasingly close to the truth — feeds an emotional crescendo of suspicion, fear and obsession.
The performance develops as a tight confrontation between conscience and reason, where the audience becomes a privileged witness to the characters’ gradual psychological collapse, up to an inevitable ending.
An essential yet powerful staging, where words, rhythm and tension build an immersive experience capable of keeping the audience on the edge of their seats from beginning to end.
